WWE Summerslam

SummerSlam 2015 was a WWE-produced professional wrestling pay-per-view event that occurred on August 23, 2015, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City. This marked the twenty-eighth installment in the SummerSlam series and was notable for being the first since 2008 to take place outside Los Angeles, as the Staples Center had hosted the event exclusively from 2009 to 2014. It was the eighth time SummerSlam was held in the New York metropolitan area, following the events in 1988, 1989, 1991, 1997, 1998, 2002, and 2007. Initially planned for the Izod Center, the event was relocated to the Barclays Center due to the former’s closure in April 2015. Additionally, this SummerSlam was the first in its history to extend to four hours, a duration previously reserved only for WrestleMania.
