Sam, a freelance photographer dealing with the challenges of divorce, is doing her best to support her daughter Laurie through college. She accepts any work she can find, regardless of the risks, to ensure a steady income. Her most recent task, assigned by a private investigation agency, takes a troubling turn when she begins to suspect that the person she is observing might have fallen victim to a crime.
