When Love Comes Along

Amidst a whirlwind of partying, drug use, avoiding commitments, and songwriting, Mark finds himself developing feelings for Stephen. Meanwhile, Fig and Sally perform Mark’s songs while engaging in casual flings with various partners. Katie, a former chart-topper who hit a low point in Los Angeles, returns to New Zealand to rebuild her life. Stephen, Mark, and Katie decide to reminisce about their past by having a sleepover at a beach house. Fig and Sally soon join them, followed by Eddie, Katie’s American boyfriend. Mark finally embraces Stephen’s affection, Katie and Eddie decide to get engaged, and Fig and Sally continue their carefree escapades.
