Sam eagerly anticipates a joyful family life with his girlfriend Jennifer and his recently reconnected teenage son, Mark. However, things get complicated when his best friend Jonathan unexpectedly passes away. Undeterred by Sam’s choice to inter Jonathan in their herb garden, mystical tenants Trevor and Tracey devise a scheme to bring Jonathan back to life, unbeknownst to Sam. Meanwhile, Sam grapples with maintaining his relationship with Jennifer and dodging the police, spurred on by the inquisitive neighbor, Mrs. Burd.
