The Last Ones

In the vast expanse of the Lapland tundra, Rupi, a young miner, spends his time dealing in illicit pills, indulging in alcohol, and gambling at slot machines. When his friend is killed, Rupi discovers his feelings for the friend’s widow. However, the mine owner also desires her. The ensuing violence turns into a spectacle, the tragedy takes on a comedic tone, the tundra remains frigid, the people become morally bankrupt, and hope is as fleeting as a shooting star. Yet, even in this bleak world, a glimmer of hope occasionally emerges.
