The Companion
During the peak of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, Cuban boxing champion Horacio is penalized for a failed drug test by being assigned to supervise Daniel, a fiery and confrontational patient in a sanatorium where individuals with HIV are mandatorily isolated. Tensions rise as Daniel longs for liberation, while Horacio aspires to make a comeback in boxing.
