When Lawrence, a Chinese-Australian teenager, resorts to cheating and still flunks his high school exams, his aspirations of becoming a doctor are shattered. As a consequence, he is sent to the countryside for the summer. During his time there, he encounters the crafty Professor, an experienced con artist, and his skeptical daughter, Sarah. Through them, Lawrence discovers that no amount of deception can create genuine love. Is this tale based on real events? That could just be another one of Leung’s clever deceptions.
