Strike One

Juan Garcia is a young man on the brink of adulthood, residing in an area dominated by gangs. He finds himself torn between two very different role models: his sister Angie, a single mother striving to make her mark in the predominantly white corporate sector, and his uncle Manny, a former gang member who has transitioned into acting, often portraying gangsters since his release from jail. As he stands at the crossroads of his future, Juan, like many boys his age, is preoccupied with thoughts of girls and remains oblivious to the strict legal consequences associated with gang involvement.
