Thicker Than Water

On the picturesque island of Sunnanö in Sweden’s archipelago, Anna-Lisa and her son Oskar manage a well-loved bed and breakfast. Anna-Lisa has called her daughter Jonna, an actress, and her son Lasse, who is known for seizing opportunities, back to the island. This marks the first time in many years that the family is reunited. However, when Anna-Lisa is discovered dead one morning, the siblings find out she had been suffering from terminal cancer. Her will reveals that in order to inherit the family B&B, all three siblings must work together to run it for a year. This is their mother’s final attempt to bring her children closer. Yet, this endeavor will also force them to face unresolved family issues, current emotional entanglements, and a deeply hidden secret in a most regrettable location.
