That Peter Kay Thing

“That Peter Kay Thing” is a collection of six mockumentaries that aired on Channel 4 in January 1999. The series, set in and around Bolton, explores the lives of various characters, all portrayed by Peter Kay. Each episode showcases Kay’s flair for nostalgic comedy and his portrayal of unsympathetic protagonists. Narrated by Andrew Sachs, the series draws inspiration from real events in Kay’s life. Several characters from this series later appeared in the spin-off, “Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights.”
