Las Vegas
“Las Vegas” is a television series that aired on NBC from September 22, 2003, to February 15, 2008. The show revolves around a group of employees at the fictional Montecito Resort & Casino, tackling various challenges in their work environment, from valet services and restaurant operations to casino security. Initially broadcast on Monday nights, NBC later shifted the series to Friday nights, first at 9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central and then at 10 PM Eastern/9 PM Central. The show continued in syndication in the United States until July 2013, when it was eventually moved to a 4 AM time slot before being completely removed from TNT’s schedule.
The series initially focused on Ed Deline, a no-nonsense former CIA officer who transitioned from Head of Security to President of Operations at the Montecito, overseeing the casino’s daily activities. After Ed’s departure in Season 5, his former protégé, ex-Marine Danny McCoy, took over as the new President of Operations. The series came to an abrupt end with a cliffhanger when NBC decided to cancel “Las Vegas” during the offseason following its fifth season.
