First Wave
“First Wave” is a sci-fi TV series from Canada and the United States, shot in Vancouver, British Columbia. It aired on the Sci-Fi Channel between 1998 and 2001. The series was the brainchild of Chris Brancato, who had previously co-written an early draft of the iconic X-Files episode “Eve.” Esteemed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola served as the executive producer. In a rare decision, the Sci-Fi Channel committed to a 66-episode contract for the series. However, the show was canceled after its third season when the contract ended, due to underwhelming viewer ratings.
