This film spans several decades, capturing the intense and tumultuous romance between Hawk, a charming and driven individual, and Tim, who is devout and idealistic. Both are political aides who find love amidst the 1950s Lavender Scare. Their passionate relationship endures through the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the drug-infused disco era of the 1970s, and the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s. Despite the ever-present danger of being discovered and risking it all, their bond only grows stronger.
