Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes
“Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes” is an animated TV series inspired by Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four and its movie adaptation. This marks the fourth animated venture for the superhero team, blending 2D anime-style visuals with 3D computer animation, crafted by the French animation studio MoonScoop and its division, Taffy Entertainment, in partnership with Cartoon Network. In the U.S., the series experienced an inconsistent broadcast schedule on Cartoon Network, debuting on Toonami on September 2, 2006, but only airing 8 out of 26 episodes before being abruptly pulled. It returned on June 9, 2007, just before the release of “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” but again, only nine more episodes were shown, leaving nine episodes unaired in the U.S. The show briefly appeared on Boomerang before moving to Nicktoons Network, where the remaining episodes began airing in winter 2009.
In the U.S., the series is distributed by 20th Century Fox and 20th Television, while Warner Bros. Television Distribution handles international distribution.
