Struggling with the loss of her mother and the collapse of her marriage, Lexi takes a flight from London to Los Angeles to find the father who left her at the age of three. Staying in a rundown motel in Hollywood, she pieces together a fragile trail of clues, gathering phone numbers and addresses in the hope of finding her father, while also forming surprising new relationships during her quest.
