Medea
This film reimagines the classic Greek tragedy “Medea” by Euripides, stripping away the influence and interventions of the gods. Medea, the central tragic figure, finds herself betrayed by Jason, whom she had once aided during the Argonauts’ quest, even going so far as to sacrifice her own brother for his success. Despite her loyalty, Jason plans to wed the daughter of the King of Corinth. Fearing for his daughter’s well-being, the king orders Medea’s exile. However, Medea requests a single day before leaving the city, a day she uses to exact her revenge.
