A Texas rancher’s single daughter has a baby she doesn’t want and decides to give the child up for adoption before leaving home. Unbeknownst to her, her father secretly takes in the boy and raises him himself. Fast forward twelve years, and she has become a successful family-court judge in Los Angeles, having distanced herself from her father and remaining unaware of the child’s existence.
