In Los Angeles, a series of murders has left bodies stacking up, and the evidence gathered by two homicide detectives points towards Barbara, the business manager of a thriving architectural firm she co-owns with her husband, Lance. The victims, all former interns at the firm, were romantically involved with Barbara, who kept them in a sophisticated apartment under the watchful eye of Lance via closed-circuit television. Kyle, the newest intern and Barbara’s current lover, might be at risk. As he develops genuine feelings for Barbara, it seems she might reciprocate. Meanwhile, Erin, the nearsighted administrative assistant, and Tony, Kyle’s former roommate who is also acquainted with Barbara, linger in the background.
