Freshman Orientation

An 18-year-old freshman from the Midwest, excited to explore the party scene at a large state university, soon realizes that college life isn’t the alcohol-fueled, romantic fantasy he envisioned. In his quest to win over the girl of his dreams—a beautiful but hesitant sorority member—he chooses to pretend to be gay to get closer to her. This seemingly harmless ruse, however, swiftly entangles him in a web of campus activism, gender conflicts, fraternity initiations, sorority challenges, “coming out” stories, political sacrifices, and eventually, a complete university upheaval.
