Chef Dave Oberlin (Ryan Rottman) finds his career in ruins after a public spat with a well-known food critic goes viral. As a result, he is shunned by top-tier restaurants and ends up accepting a teaching role at a culinary school run by a friend. Meanwhile, Dr. Nina Kirby (Maya Stojan), a cardiologist aiming for a promotion at her hospital, is told by the Head of Cardiology that securing Dave to lead the Healthy Living seminars would guarantee her the job. However, Nina has no cooking skills and is reluctant to learn. Encouraged by her best friend and colleague, Olivia (Tanya Chisholm), Nina decides to enroll in Dave’s class. When she proposes the seminar idea to Dave, he is initially uninterested due to her lack of engagement in class. Nevertheless, as Nina tries to win him over, they discover some surprising shared interests.
