This change in his outlook is noticed by Sophie Atkinson, played by Amy Acker, a kind yet candid book reviewer he unexpectedly encounters on a flight. As they start a cautious romance in Sophie’s hometown of Portland, Oregon, where Liam seeks inspiration for his latest work, his agent pressures him to finally reveal Gabriel August’s true identity.
