The Oggly family arrives at the town dump in Smelliville, searching for a place to call home. However, they struggle to find acceptance due to their unpleasant odor and peculiar appearance, which most people find off-putting. When their dragon, Firebottom, makes an unexpected landing at the neglected landfill in Smelliville, the Ogglies immediately feel a sense of belonging and decide this is where they want to settle.
