Shoelaces for Christmas

Following a heated argument with her sick mother, Jennifer, a teenager absorbed in her own world, accidentally finds herself at a nearby homeless shelter one night. Frustrated by his daughter’s self-centered behavior, Jennifer’s father presents her with an ultimatum: she must volunteer at the shelter to hopefully develop a sense of responsibility and empathy for others. During her time there, Jennifer forms an unexpected connection with the staff and a particularly remarkable young resident, which helps her realize that the essence of Christmas lies in love and family.
