Doug Ireland, a New York concierge, dreams of starting his own venture by renovating a hotel on Roosevelt Island. However, he requires financial backing to make this dream a reality. With only a few weeks remaining before his option on the property expires, Doug agrees to assist the affluent Christian Hanover in hiding his romantic involvement with saleswoman Andy Hart from his spouse. Although Doug finds himself drawn to Andy, he remains determined to persuade Christian to invest $3 million in his business endeavor.
