The Fencer

“The Fencer,” directed by Klaus Härö, is a poignant drama inspired by true events, following a young Estonian fencer named Endel Nelis who, while fleeing from the Soviet secret police, finds refuge in a small town where he becomes a physical education teacher. As he forms a fencing club for his students, Endel must confront his past and make difficult choices that will impact both his life and the lives of the children he mentors.
