My One Christmas Wish

Jackie Turner, a top-performing college student, endured a childhood marked by abuse, neglect, and hunger. Despite her remarkable transformation, the holiday season remains a difficult time for her. Anticipating another solitary holiday on campus, Jackie posts an ad on Craigslist titled “My ONE CHRISTMAS Wish,” seeking a family to spend Christmas with and offering $8 an hour. To her astonishment, she receives a flood of responses. Among the many heartfelt offers and supportive messages, she connects with other young individuals who also grapple with the profound loneliness of holiday seasons without family. Inspired by this, Jackie decides to organize a large Christmas gathering, with the help of her adviser, friends, and support group, to match these individuals with families, ultimately finding a family for herself as well.
