Emperor of Ocean Park

The story unfolds across the realms of political intrigue, prestigious Ivy League circles, and the scenic shores of Martha’s Vineyard. At its heart is Talcott Garland, a law professor at an Ivy League institution, whose peaceful existence is upended by the sudden death of his father, Judge Oliver Garland, seemingly from a heart attack. However, Tal’s sister, Mariah, a former journalist with a penchant for conspiracy theories, suspects otherwise. She believes that their father, a Black man who was once a Supreme Court nominee but never appointed, may have been the victim of foul play.
