Cruel Summer

Set in a small Texas town, this unique thriller unfolds over the course of three summers from 1993 to 1995. During this time, a well-liked and attractive teenager named Kate is kidnapped. Meanwhile, in what appears to be an unrelated series of events, a girl named Jeanette transforms from a shy and awkward outsider to the town’s most popular girl. By 1995, however, she becomes the most reviled person in the country.
